CONCERNED locals are worried that anti-social behaviour orders aren't making a difference in Fieldhead.
At the estate's tenants and residents' association (TRA) meeting estate management officer Pat McFarlane said Kirklees Council had anti-social behaviour contracts, one of the first stages of making an order (Asbo), on 10 youths. She added that one youth actually had an Asbo.
But resident John Kay said the youths were proud of their Asbo status.
He said: "They're just sticking two fingers up at them and wearing them like a badge. They're not working."
Mrs McFarlane said if residents could identify the youths causing a nuisance more could be done to punish them.
She also reminded people at last week's meeting to phone the police if they saw youths carrying out criminal damage.
