BATLEY OWLS are flying back home.
The over 50s group is moving back to Batley Sports and Tennis Centre after 15 years spent in neighbouring Morley and is celebrating with a free open day on September 12.

Chairman of the club's committee, Margaret Speight, said it was "fantastic" t
o come back to Batley after the long years away.

"We have quite a few members who have been with us since the club was formed more than 20 years ago and they remember their time at Batley Sports and Tennis Centre fondly," she said.

"The free open day is a great opportunity to come along and see what we get up to at the club every week. We have more than 50 members who have followed us back to Batley and as well as a great social atmosphere we have a range of activities that we are sure will cater for everyone's needs, so why not come along and see for yourself, if you like what you see you can sign up on the day."

Anyone who is interested in the club can attend the open day from 9.30am-4pm. There will be a full range of activities taking place throughout the day including swimming, bowling, racket sports, dancing and activity classes.

Hazel Francis, operations manager at the sports centre said: "The open day promises to be a fantastic day and everyone is welcome to come along."
